Enduring Culture Spotlight with Municipal Art Society of New York

I was honored to join the Municipal Art Society of New York’s “Enduring Culture” Spotlight at La Plaza Cultural de Armando Pérez Community Garden alongside Brandon Ruiz of Yucayeke Farms and Bill DiPaola, founder of Time’s Up and director of the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space. Together, we reflected on how community gardens like La Plaza—rooted in activism, art, and ecological care—continue to sustain culture and connection in an ever-changing city.
